Acupuncture: Three years intensive instruction in Japanese Acupuncture (KM Style), TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine), Trigger Point Acupuncture Therapy (Orthopedic Assessment and Pain Relief). Tui Na (Medical Massage and Bone Setting) was a required prerequisite for graduation. One year of a Clinical Internship in Tri-State College of Acupuncture Community Clinic. During my training I became certified in substance abuse acupuncture, and, completed an internship at Lincoln Hospital.
Herbal Medicine: Two years intensive instruction on herbal qualities and classifications both individually and collectively. Patient symptoms are observed during our examination resulting in a diagnosis. Based upon this diagnosis, herbal combinations are created to address patient complaints. Complete knowledge of herbal qualities, actions and contraindications are necessary to write safe and effective prescriptions. Knowledge of any known interactions between prescription drugs and herbal formulas used in Chinese Medicine are a critical and essential component of Chinese Herbal prescription writing.
Since my graduation, I have become certified in Tangible Acupuncture, Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture, and Alchemical Acupuncture.
I opened my massage therapy practice in 2006. My training included Swedish massage, Reiki Healing, acupressure and manual trigger point release.
I am licensed in both New York and New Jersey. Since my graduation, I have maintained a successful private practice in Bogota, NJ
